Ideally, it would have some kind of function as well as giving the player something nice to look at. Because there's no way to get up or otherwise interact with it, it isn't actually a gameplay mechanic, it's just a bit of scenery change. Try to find more tylesets, the dojo doesn't give me the feeling of a dojo, first of all it is important to end the room by adding walls, leaving it open gives a feeling of "the creator didn't even care to end the room".
